John Holland Experience - John Holland Experience

John Holland Experience – John Holland Experience

Take a bit of blues, a bit o garage, a bit of rock’n’roll, a bit of stoner and a pinch of melodic punk-rock: mix everything together, add easy-going Italian vocals and here it is the first homonymous John Holland Experience album. Eight songs flowing as quickly as beers in a pub. Catchy riffs with great, enthralling impact which slow down only at moments for some tipically bluesy dilations, with a hint of desert sound (Intro, Revival, Canzone d’amore, Tieni Botta). Bass and drums are the pillars of the trio from Cuneo: riffs of the first create the melodic line and the rhythmic structure to which the second adds extra power. The dusty, warm distortion of the guitar and the slightly dirty voice, with its allusive gait, make the rest. Tieni Botta, stoner-blues ballad enriched by the powerfully hoarse – bluesman style – voice of special guest Davide Musizzano is the jewel of the album. As much as the artwork by Solo Macello is its right, apt dress. Now you just have to listen to them live!
